Welcome to my new blog about language acquisition, language education, linguistics and fields nearby!
My name is Alexandre Scalzitti, I am a Brazilian who has been living in Japan since 2004. It is quite a long time. Please, call me Alex.
As you can see, my blog title is "The Language Blacksmith". The reason for this title is that if you want to learn a language, you have to "hit really hard" like a blacksmith hammers the piece on the anvil. There is no other way.
Several factors are involved in language and I would like to explore them in this blog.
This is just a welcome message for this blog and I really hope you enjoy, post comments, give me ideas and help me along.
